The British Pharmacological Society will host the 19th World Congress of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (WCP2023) on behalf of the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (IUPHAR) in Glasgow, Scotland, on 2-7 July 2023. It’s your passport to a world of cutting-edge science, and unmissable career opportunities in the city named the first European Capital of Culture.
The WCP2023 programme features a range of scientific sessions underpinned by excellent science and promotes collaboration, innovation, and discovery. We have a fantastic line-up of 484 speakers and chairs from 36 countries, including 24 keynote speakers selected by the WCP2023 International Scientific Committee, each renowned for their expertise and leadership in pharmacology. There will be various symposia, keynote lectures, workshops, and debates across ten content themes. In addition, there will be a packed schedule of abstract presentations (oral and poster), interactive debates, networking opportunities, and a social programme that will allow attendees to catch up with friends and colleagues and enjoy just some of the wonders of Scotland.
In addition to the programme, the Congress Committee has launched a call for satellite meetings. They are accepting proposals for independent meetings that will complement the themes and topics covered in the main Congress programme. Satellite meetings can be either pre-Congress and held on Saturday 1 July or Sunday 2 July 2023 or post-Congress from 2 pm on Friday 7 July 2023.
