According to the World Health Organization, cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide.
Despite various recommended therapies (cytotoxic, targeted or immunotherapies), many tumours remain unresponsive or develop resistance to these treatments.
The aim of the Oncology committee is to understand the mechanisms underlying these treatment failures.

Our objectives
- Promoting translational research aimed at improving our understanding of how patients respond to cancer treatments.
- Promoting high scientific and ethical standards in basic and clinical research.
- Stimulating international partnerships to facilitate large-scale oncopharmacology projects.
- Supporting and encouraging the participation of young researchers in IUPHAR and the Oncology Committee.
- Contributing to the training and scientific education of young researchers.
- Promoting the Committee's work by participating in international conferences and through communication channels such as newsletters and social media.
- Improving patient care by working with industry partners.
