Opportunities for your society to participate included:

1. International Student Poster Competition on the theme, ‘Race, Ethnic and Socioeconomic Influences on Clinical Pharmacology’.

The call for posters has now closed, and submissions have been collected across all categories.

There were three categories of poster entries:

• General posters: open to all medical, pharmacy or pharmacology pre-graduate students.
• Research posters: open to all medical, pharmacy or pharmacology pre- and post-graduate students.
• International collaborative posters: open to all medical, pharmacy or pharmacology pre- and post-graduate students for collaborations between students affiliated with different member societies.

Member societies were invited to disseminate the call among their members and support participation, including facilitating international collaborations for the dedicated category.

Each society organised local judging to select one winner per category, and nominated candidates were submitted to IUPHAR by April 9th, 2026.

All submitted posters have been evaluated for originality, relevance, message and universality by the IUPHAR Executive Committee and members of the IUPHAR Medical and Clinical Pharmacology Committee.

The overall winners will be announced and showcased during the World Smart Medication Day webinar on May 7, 2026. Six prizes will be awarded by IUPHAR, with two prizes in each category.

2. Dissemination of the IUPHAR World Smart Medication Day webinar on May 7th, 2026. International pharmacologists and experts provided education and research on the theme, ‘Race, Ethnic and Socioeconomic Influences on Clinical Pharmacology’. This free event was open to members and their networks.
3. Organisation of local seminars and events to celebrate and promote clinical and translational pharmacology on May 7th, 2026.
